Trilegiant: Taking Stress out of the Road

Stress is the key contributor to road rage, according to a recent study. The more stressed American motorists are also the most dangerous drivers. American marketing consultant company Affinion Group recently commissioned a study to look into road behavior among American motorists all across America.

The survey said: New York motorists most aggressive, their Portland and Cleveland counterparts most pleasant and courteous. What the study highlighted was motorists who carry a lot of pent-up stress and frustration can endanger themselves and others on the road. The AAA Foundation for Traffic Safety estimates the auto-related death toll at over 218 people killed and 12,610 injured for the last 7 years.

Affinion Group’s subsidiary Trilegiant Corp. offers a way to de-stress on the road. As a provider of personal auto-related services, Trilegiant offers a program called AutoVantage which acts as an all-in-one aide to people on the road. It entitles members to road assistance, maintenance discounts, car reviews, car purchases, trip routing guides, new and used car information, as well as hotel discounts.

With its 24/7 assistance and services, motorists can rest easy about handling some of the most worrisome aspects of being on the road. Aside from AutoVantage, Trilegiant also offers programs such as Buyers Advantage, Netmarket.com, CompleteHome, PC SafetyPlus, IdentitySecure and Privacy Guard.
